“Has your motivation to write flown out of the window? Do feelings of self-doubt creep in and haunt your writing day? Looking for a way to beat the doubts into submission?

Award-winning author and writing coach Wendy H. Jones shows you how, with 366 glorious exercises you can use to boost creativity and change the way you think and feel about your writing. Techniques that can easily be incorporated into your day, becoming part of your writing routine. It’s time to change the way you think and feel, in order to set your creativity free.”

My biggest issue is lack of motivation to sit down at the keyboard and write; the ideas are there, floating in my head, but knowing how long the journey can be, seeps at my motivation and I believe I am not the only one.

What I love about Motivation Matters is that it is packed with exercises to get you going – these are fun, creative and most of the time pushing the writer out of the comfort zone; I definitely was. They are easy to locate and you can do them in whatever order you want, although the best thing after reading this book: YOU WILL WANT TO WRITE! I did. It reminded me why in the first place I wanted to write.

The fact that these are packed into sections and chapters made it easier to find what I wanted and now that I finished reading it cover to cover (because review, duh!) it will be time to use it properly and go through these exercises ad finish writing that novel. There is so much advice on writing out there, it’s unreal, but in my opinion exercise prompts are better as they are motivating and works on that creativity muscles that you had forgotten or not used in a very long time.
